Every Paw Has A Tale.
Southern Tails Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit, supported by local community donations in order to ensure the physical and medical well-being of the dogs. We rely solely on the financial support of our donors’ generosity as well as any fundraisers we host, and the time and energy of our volunteers. We focus on rescuing dogs from rural shelters and streets in the surrounding areas of Charleston, South Carolina.
An Introduction
Being a private nonprofit, we do not receive funding from the government. Many of the animals we rescue have medical issues or need expensive vet care. We rely solely on donations to sustain our mission. All donations are tax-deductible, and we deeply appreciate the support, as it enables us to save lives.
We rely on our dedicated foster families as we are a foster-based animal rescue, without a physical shelter. Before bringing a dog into our rescue, we ensure a foster home is available. Our foster families play a vital role, and we are immensely grateful for their support. We provide all necessary supplies and cover the medical expenses for the foster animals.
